We Asked. You Answered. Now We’re Acting.

Every year, we ask our customers what’s working, what’s not, and where you need us most. This year, your feedback was clear – and it’s shaping exactly where we invest in 2026.

Our Commitment

How We’re Responding in 2026

Your feedback pointed us to three clear investment areas. These aren’t ideas on a whiteboard – they’re funded commitments already shaping our 2026 roadmap.

1. Modern Business Intelligence / Decision Supporting Dashboards

Reporting and analytics emerged as the single most resonant unmet need across our customer base. 35% of customers are actively planning BI/dashboard investments, while 29% explicitly need help with reporting – and 37% of BI investors also need reporting help, confirming the gap between ambition and internal capability. That’s why we’ve invested in Power BI for ERP – a ready-to-deploy solution with pre-built dashboards that transform your ERP data into real-time, actionable insights from Quote to Cash.

Why This Matters

70% of BI investors cite workforce productivity as a top challenge, and 53% cite reducing operating costs. You’re not looking for vanity metrics – you need dashboards that drive measurable operational ROI.

The gap between data locked inside your ERP and actionable shop-floor visibility was the #1 theme in open-ended responses. Our Power BI for ERP solution delivers interactive dashboards across sales, operations, supply chain, and performance metrics – no custom development required. See it in action.

Needed BI tools to make a visual picture of where parts are at - no quick visuals to see when stock may be consumed.

2. AI-Readiness through Process Optimization

25% of customers are investing in AI and automation, while 36% are prioritizing process improvement initiatives. But here’s the gap: the average AI-readiness score across our customer base is just 4.0 out of 10. Customers want AI, but their ERP data foundations and processes aren’t ready. Meanwhile, 44% cite workforce productivity as a top challenge. The message is clear: you need to do more with fewer resources through intelligent automation – but first, you need to bridge the readiness gap. Our Center of Excellence – a software-agnostic consulting division – is purpose-built to get you AI-ready through process optimization.

Why This Matters

48% of you cited reducing operating costs as your top challenge, and 45% need to improve production throughput. You can’t AI your way out of broken processes. These challenges require streamlined processes, Lean methodologies, and organizational alignment first – creating the foundation that makes AI and automation effective, not just expensive.

Our Center of Excellence team brings real manufacturing and distribution experience to help you overcome inefficiencies, tackle labor shortages through smart workforce optimization, and control rising costs. From value stream mapping to Kaizen events to change management – we meet you where you are and build lasting improvements. Explore our approach.

Use of AI would work great to help teach/learn how to use CSI for all modules and easy personalizations.

3. ERP Integrations / Connected Ecosystems

48% of customers need help with upgrades or migrations – the single largest help request we received. Of those, 39% are planning an ERP upgrade in the next 18–24 months. At the same time, 18% need help with integrations – connecting your ERP to the rest of your technology ecosystem. Whether you’re modernizing your core ERP, linking CAD systems to eliminate manual BOM entry, syncing CRM platforms for a 360-degree customer view, or bridging eCommerce and fulfillment systems, disconnected or outdated systems create friction, errors, and lost productivity. Our ERP Extensions and WM Synergy IP solutions are proven, fully supported modules built to extend your ERP’s functionality and keep your ecosystem connected – while our upgrade methodology ensures frictionless migrations.

Why This Matters

Your ERP is the backbone of your operations – but it can’t do everything alone, and it can’t stay frozen in time. 48% of you need upgrade help, and 18% asked for integration support. We heard repeated frustration about outdated ERP versions, disconnected systems, manual data entry, and siloed information – all of which block your path to AI-readiness and operational efficiency.

Our portfolio of ERP Extensions includes proven solutions for CAD integration, CRM connectivity, warehouse management, credit card processing, tax compliance, and more – all fully supported and continually enhanced with customer feedback. These aren’t custom projects; they’re ready-to-deploy modules that extend your ERP’s reach across your entire ecosystem. See all of our ERP extensions.

And when you’re ready to upgrade your core ERP, our proven implementation methodology ensures you modernize without disruption – protecting your operations and your team.

What are the key trends driving manufacturing technology investment in 2026? In early 2026, WM Synergy conducted an in-depth Voice of the Customer survey reaching out to hundreds of manufacturing executives from our client base to understand their technology investment priorities, business challenges, and strategic initiatives for the next 12–18 months. These conversations — with C-level executives, VPs, directors, and operational leaders — provide unique insight into how North American manufacturers are responding to operational pressures, workforce constraints, and competitive demands.

Your voice shapes our roadmap.

These three investment areas exist because you told us what you need. As we build them out in 2026, we’ll keep listening – and keep delivering.
