Medius Beta
Stop hand-keying vouchers into CloudSuite Industrial.
WM Synergy is opening a limited beta for Medius AP automation connected directly to CloudSuite Industrial. We are looking for a small group of CSI manufacturers willing to run it on real invoice volume and tell us what breaks.
Who this is for
- Running CloudSuite Industrial, cloud or on-premise
- Roughly 500 or more supplier invoices per month
- AP still building vouchers by hand in CSI
- A named AP owner who can commit real hours
CSI runs your plant. Your AP inbox still runs on people.
Production schedules, material transactions, and PO receipts all move through CloudSuite Industrial automatically. Then a supplier invoice arrives as a PDF attachment and someone starts typing it into Voucher Entry line by line.
Vouchers built by hand
Header, distribution lines, and PO reference get keyed into CSI by one person and checked by another. Cost per invoice climbs with volume instead of falling.
Three-way match exceptions that never clear
Quantity variances against the PO, partial receipts, freight and misc charges with no PO line. CSI flags the mismatch. Resolving it is still a phone call and a spreadsheet.
Invoices that are not in CSI yet
Anything sitting in an approver’s inbox does not exist to your ERP. Open payables look understated, cash forecasting turns into guesswork, and early payment discounts get missed.
Fraud and duplicate exposure
Changed bank details and re-sent invoices are hard to catch by eye. Most teams find the problem after the payment has cleared.
Source documents outside the system
CSI holds the voucher. The invoice PDF, the approval email, and the receiving note live in three other places. Pulling a clean audit trail takes days nobody has.
Multi-site multiplies the work
If you run more than one CSI site, AP is often repeating the same process in parallel with different rules per entity. Headcount becomes the only lever.
What Medius does, and how it connects to CSI
Medius is an AI-driven accounts payable platform that runs invoice capture, matching, approval, and payment as one connected process, then posts the finished voucher into CloudSuite Industrial. Medius publishes a managed SyteLine connector. WM Synergy owns the CSI side: item and vendor mapping, site and entity rules, approval design, and go-live.
Invoices in any format, read automatically
The platform reads invoices regardless of how they arrive and pulls the data without templates to maintain. It learns new supplier layouts from a handful of documents rather than requiring setup for each one. Originals stay archived for review and audit.
Line level matching against POs and receipts
Invoice lines are matched against your CSI purchase orders and PO receipts so variances surface before a voucher is ever created. Clean invoices post untouched. Only genuine exceptions route to a buyer or approver.
Duplicate and fraud detection that runs up front
Anomaly detection flags supplier bank or address changes, unusual amounts, and repeat invoices as they enter the queue. Rule based systems catch these after the fact. This is meant to catch them before the money moves.
Real time view of what you owe
Dashboards and KPIs give finance a live picture of open payables, cycle time, and touchless rate across every CSI site. Cash forecasting stops depending on someone remembering what is stuck in an inbox.
Payment inside the same workflow
Supplier payment is embedded in the invoice to pay flow rather than bolted on at the end, so approval and disbursement share one record and one audit trail. No bank change required.
CSI configured by the people who implement CSI
Medius ships and maintains the SyteLine connector. WM Synergy handles what is specific to you: vendor and site mapping, GL distribution rules, multi-site and multi-entity handling, and any customizations sitting on your install.
See it running before you commit
A walkthrough from Medius covering non-PO invoice coding and approval, PO invoice matching and reconciliation, the AP analytics, and payment controls. About the length of a coffee break. Worth watching before the fit call so we can skip the overview and talk about your process instead.
Note on scope. This demo shows the full Medius platform, including payment services and early pay discount capture. The CSI beta focuses on capture, matching, approval, and voucher posting. Payment is available but scoped separately. We will be clear on the fit call about what is in your program and what is not.
The beta arrangement, in plain terms
This is a working program, not a demo. You get early access and heavy attention from our team. In return we need real usage and honest feedback.
What you get
- Beta pricing held for the length of the program
- A dedicated WM Synergy implementation lead
- Direct input on the ERP connector and workflow design
- Priority support and a direct line to our product team
- A baseline and post-launch measurement of your touchless rate, cycle time, and cost per invoice
- First position for expanded capability as it releases
What we ask
- A named AP owner and an executive sponsor
- Real invoice volume through the system, not a sandbox
- Access to your current AP metrics for a before and after baseline
- A short feedback session every other week during rollout
- Willingness to be a reference or case study if it goes well
How the program runs
Fit call
A 30 minute conversation on your invoice volume, CSI version and deployment, site count, and current voucher process.
Baseline
We measure where you are today: invoices per month, touchless percentage, cycle time, and cost per invoice.
Configure and connect
SyteLine connector stood up, vendor and GL mapping, site rules, approval design, and AP team training.
Run and measure
Live invoices posting vouchers into CSI, structured check-ins, then a results readout against the baseline.
Are you a fit?
| Criteria | Strong fit | Probably not yet |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice volume | Roughly 500 or more supplier invoices per month | Under 150 per month, handled comfortably by one person |
| CSI version | CloudSuite Industrial on a currently supported release, cloud or on-premise | An unsupported SyteLine release, or mid-upgrade with no stable target date |
| Sites and entities | One site, or multiple sites with reasonably consistent AP rules | Every site running its own AP process with no appetite to standardize |
| Process today | Vouchers keyed by hand, approvals over email, PO matching resolved manually | Already running a modern AP automation platform you are happy with |
| Ownership | A named AP lead with authority to change process | No clear owner, or the project depends on a hire you have not made |
| Timing | Able to start configuration within the current quarter, with no CSI upgrade in flight | In the middle of an ERP upgrade or year-end close crunch |
Questions we expect
Does this replace AP in CloudSuite Industrial?
No. Medius sits in front of CSI and hands off a clean, approved, coded voucher. CSI stays the system of record for the ledger, for payment runs, and for reporting. Your month-end close does not move.
Will it work with our CSI customizations?
Usually yes. The connector works against standard CSI objects, so the question is whether your customizations changed how vouchers, vendors, or GL distribution behave. We review that on the fit call before committing to anything.
Cloud or on-premise CSI, does it matter?
Both are in scope. On-premise installs need a connectivity conversation that cloud tenants do not, which is one of the things the fit call covers.
What does beta mean for pricing?
Beta participants get program pricing held for the length of the program. Exact terms are covered on the fit call, since they depend on volume, site count, and scope.
Can we exit if it is not working?
Yes. The point of a beta is to find out. We will tell you if we think it is not landing, and the exit terms are written into the agreement up front.
Who at WM Synergy runs this?
Your existing Customer Success contact stays involved, and you get a dedicated implementation lead from our CSI practice for the duration of the program.
Apply for the beta
Applications are reviewed as they come in. If you are a fit, we will schedule a 30 minute call to walk through your invoice volume, your CSI configuration, and what a rollout would actually look like on your calendar.
If you are not a fit right now, we will tell you that too, and why.
